A daily-driven M4 booked for an exterior and cabin reset before a road trip. The scope was cleaning and sealing, with no machine polishing included.
Condition & brief
Road grime had accumulated around the wheels and lower panels, while footwells, seat seams and touchpoints needed cleaning. Existing wash swirls were outside the agreed scope.
Method & decisions
Wheels and arches were cleaned first with dedicated tools. The paint was washed, chemically decontaminated and sealed. Inside, seams and footwells were vacuumed, surfaces cleaned to suit their material and interior glass finished last.
Contamination removed; existing swirls unchanged.
The lower panels were free of the bonded contamination identified at inspection, and the cabin’s seams, footwells and touchpoints were cleaned. Paint swirls remained because this booking did not include correction.
The owner left with sealant washing guidance and a separate correction recommendation to consider later.
