Paint correction

Under controlled lighting, we map paint depth and identify swirls, haze and isolated defects before choosing a single- or multi-stage correction.

Paint correction at NOIRClarity, restored.

Clarity, restored.

A test section establishes the pad, polish and number of passes each surface needs. We check the result after removing polishing residue, then work panel by panel. Edges, trim and previously repaired areas receive a separate assessment. The aim is a clearer reflection without removing more paint than the improvement warrants.

Who it’s for

Paint with fine wash marks, polishing haze or reduced gloss. Deep scratches need a separate assessment.

Your questions.

Will every scratch disappear?

No. Deep scratches and etching may remain if removing them would take too much paint. We identify those limits during inspection and point out any remaining defects at collection.

Does polishing remove paint?

Yes. Polishing removes material from the top paint layer. On clear-coated paint, that means clear coat. Depth readings help flag variation and previous repairs; a conventional gauge measures the total paint system, not the remaining clear coat alone. We combine readings with a test section and surface inspection.
